Alabama
Randonneuring Events

Greetings fellow cyclists. I'm in the process of organizing Randonneuring events for the State of Alabama.

What is Randonneuring? Randonneuring is long-distance unsupported endurance cycling. This style of riding is non-competitive in nature, and self-sufficiency is paramount. When riders participate in randonneuring events, they are part of a long tradition that goes back to the beginning of the sport of cycling in France and Italy. Friendly camaraderie, not competition, is the hallmark of randonneuring.

If you would like to know more about this, feel free to visit Randonneurs USA. If you have ever thought that you would like to do more than just a hundred miles, then this could be for you. It is a great way to visit new places and make lots of cycling friends from all over the world.

Have you ever thought about cycling in France? There is more information on the RUSA website about Paris-Brest-Paris 1200K that is taking place in 2011.

Feel free to drop me an email if you're interested in taking on a new and rewarding challenge. If I can do it, anyone can do it.

Thanks!
